About Measurement Supply: We are a specialty solution provider of precision measuring machines and instruments, both as off-the-shelf and automated turn-key solutions including tactile and vision-based coordinate measuring machines (CMM’s), precision gaging, microscopes, and related accessories. We represent products from only the world’s most recognized manufacturers primarily servicing Florida and Georgia.

Job Description: Application Engineer will provide product demonstrations, training, contract programming, technical support of precision measurement equipment including CMM’s, Vision systems, force & torque testers and any other measurement device supplied to our customers.

Preferred background and experience would include:

A good communicator that is driven to succeed with a hard work ethic and a pleasant customer-centric personality. Technical and manufacturing experience with a working knowledge of measurement practices is a plus. A good candidate may be a graduate of a Trade School or an Industrial or Manufacturing Technology certificate along with related shop experience. Someone who has worked as a QC engineer that strives to work more independently with higher financial earning potential. College graduates will also be considered if they possess the proper skill set. 

  • Strongly preferred bilingual (Spanish/English)
  • 2+ Years of Quality Control measurement including CMM or Vision system programming & operation experience is preferred.
  • Self-motivated with excellent communication, interpersonal, problem solving, presentation and organizational skills.
  • College education or diploma is not required but will be considered.
  • Mechanical aptitude and interests.
  • Part model, drawing(s) and GD&T knowledge.
  • Hands-on knowledge of AS9102, PPAP, FAIR, SPC and Gage R&R studies
  • Programming knowledge of metrology software including MCOSMOS, PCDMIS, Calypso, Polyworks, CMM Manager, Micro Vu or Metlogix M3 or 3D CAD/CAM software. Dedicated training will be provided by our manufacturers to build software experience.

Applicant must maintain an excellent driving record and possess reliable automobile transportation for use travelling to customer facilities.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Perform pre-demonstration machine set-up and programming of sample parts.
  • Perform product sales demonstrations in our Tampa technical center & at customer sites on our entire product offering.
  • Travel in designated territory and overnight stays are required.
  • Analyze customer measurement problems and applications to recommend probable solution(s).
  • Communicate with Sales Representative to inform components and accessories to create proposals of solutions for end-users.
  • Conduct formal training sessions for programmers & operators of measuring solutions.
  • Participate in Measurement Supply trade shows, events and open houses.
  • Work jointly with our sales engineers & suppliers while performing sales activity.
  • Complete all records and paperwork related to customer data and corporate required records in a timely and correct manner.
  • Communicate in an ethical, honest manner.
  • Possess strong mathematic skills including Geometry & Trigonometry
  • Have the capability to multi-task projects and assignments.
